Second album from this band that was originally formed by Arjen Lucassen, who has since gone on to greener pastures. The band is still fronted by Mexican vocalist/violinist Marcela Bovio, who has completely revamped the lineup and overall sound. Now the band is going for a purely gothic metal sound. Its well done but to be honest its a bit boilerplate - there isn't anything here you haven't heard before. Whatever it was that set the band apart in the past is apparently gone with Mr. Lucassen's departure. For fans of Within Temptation. Limited edition digipak with one bonus track.

Passable Symphonic/Gothic metal here. Marcela Bovio certainly has an excellent voice and delivers solid melodies. None of the songs are weak per se but none rise to the compositional level that Arjen Lucassen brought to the party on their debut. Leyth
