The second album from NJ based The Tea Club is a clever slice of contemporary progressive rock. The band draws influence from current bands like The Dear Hunter, Echolyn, and Mars Volta but there are intricate keyboard embellishment courtesy of guest keyboardist Tom Brislin (Camel, Yes, Renaissance). This is more of a cerebral, emotional roller coaster ride then one that will dazzle you with technicality. I expect bands like The Tea Club to be a big part of the future of progressive rock. That could mean a very bright future. Highly recommended.
