Tomorrow's Eve - Tales Of Serpentia

SKU LMC246
OK...make it 4 for 4. Another outstanding effort from this German cyber-metal band that will sit high on most people's top 10 list come year end. Tomorrow's Eve has come up the right formula and they are smart enough not to tinker too much - rock solid and forceful vocals, crunch-o-matic guitar, and synth leads invented in some top secret underground laboratory. The only chink in the bands armour crops up with the insertion of narration to push the story along. The guy sounds like he's reading from a script for the first time - they would have been better served if they would have left this distraction off the disc. 2008 has been a great one for Lion Music and this release may be their crowning acheivement. Highest recommendation.

Outstanding progressive metal cd. All four Tomorrow's Eve albums are brilliant, and this one shows continuing maturation of the band's talent. Chunky riffs, well-balanced vocals, percussion, keys and guitars. As others have said, the voice-overs are a bit distracting and amateurish, but this is an incredible, must-have cd. What a year for concept cds, with this wonderful offering, Xystus' Equilibrio, Shadrane (Viv Lalu) Temporal, and Seventh Wonder's Mercy Falls!!

Ken got this one right, it's a must have. I don't have the first one but the other 3 are a can't miss. Sensational music and, yes, the narration doesn't need to be there. Just an excellent band all around.

They've done it again!!! Tomorrow's Eve continues to show the prog world that they deserve more recognition. Amazing songwriting, instrumentation, and feeling. Martin LeMar has got to be a close relative of Daniel Gildenlow... Could've done without the narrator, kinda amateur, but the balls and chunk music more than make up for this blip. Killer!!! Tommi H.
