We were a little late with this one - our mistake for overlooking it. Under Linden is a talented instrumental quintet from Argentina, and symphonic rock is their game. Their soundscape revolves around the interplay between violinist Roberto Medina and guitarist Ignacio Scarsella. Keys play an important part in the equation but I'm more drawn to the violin and guitar parts. This is solid progressive rock that has nice melodies and a great flow. It kind of simmers and then someone will rip off a solo that will call attention to itself. So there is this nice organic group sound with the occasional "wow" moment. Old school prog and nicely done!
