Fantastic price for this gatefold Japanese mini-LP sleeve reissue of the controversial album from the Greek keyboard master. Beauborg was released in 1978. Divided into two parts it finds Vangelis adding elements of atonality and experimentation to his symphonic sounds. This one isn't to everyone's taste but will reward those that stick with it. This is this the 24bit K2 mastered edition. Grab it while they are available cheap!

This does not sound like any other Vangelis album. It's by far his most aharmonic and challenging. My favorite of his by a light year at least. If you're big into Klaus S. and find the electronica "soundtrack" practitioners a bit too syrupy, I think you NEED this. How it came out of Vangelis (particularly in '78 when everybody who had been "on the fence" was totally selling-out) I'll never know... but I don't care. It's his statement that he could indeed command the strange and challenging. And BTW... GORGEOUS artwork by itself makes this minisleeve issue a s----in' gift!
