I really enjoyed Out There but this time Mr. Wakeman has really stepped up his game and come up with a brilliant effort. The premise of Retro is to exclusively use all of Rick's old analog keyboards. Rick is squeezing sounds out of his keys like we haven't heard in 30 years! Hammond, Moog, Korg, Mellotron, Prophet 5....all well and heavily represented. He's assembled his usual band here - Ashley Holt doesn't annoy too much, probably because the music is so strong. Great disc from one of the Gods. Highly recommended.
