Who would have expected to see a major reinterest in thrash metal these days? Los Angeles revivalists Warbringer are leading the charge with their debut War Without End. The band "borrows" inspiration for thrash stalwarts Exodus, Slayer, Nuclear Assault, Death Angel and Testament in a way that has to be heard to be believed. You would think this is some kind of archival release from 1988. Bill Metoyer twiddles the knobs and he nails the sound as he should since he's worked with all of those bands. This one should come with a serious health warning. Heavily recommended to the thrash metal set.
