Second album from Nick Simper & Co doesn't deviate much from the formula laid down with the first album. The music of Red Sea isn't nearly as dark as the first album but its just as heavy. Ashley Holt wails a bit more and somehow it works - hard to believe its the same guy that stank up a bunch of Rick's discs for so many years. There is enough organ/guitar interaction to make even the most ardent Deep Purple fan happy. A fine slice of progressive hard rock augmented by 6 unreleased demo tracks.
