Italian band formerly known at The Night Watch now reconstituted with a new lineup. Ghost sounds so much like Genesis they might as well call themselves Genesis. Folks, this is a total clone job that sounds like outtakes from Nursery Cryme or Foxtrot. The vocalist/flautist Simone Rossetti sounds so much like Peter Gabriel and Valerio Vado mimics Steve Hackett's guitar tones so closely that it is absolutely startling. This album features not one original note but you'll have to pry it out of my CD player. A complete and utter guilty pleasure that I can recommend highly. If you miss the old Genesis as much as I do then you owe it to yourself to hear The Watch...

I actually started with the Vacuum album and was blown away . I went back to this one to see how the band started and was blown away with this one as well . All the elements that make them a truly Genesis inspired act but there is always originality in their compositions . A must have for anyone who enjoys the genre and is not prejudiced by the fact they prefer to work in the Genesis soundscape , right down to the lead vocals .

While I agree on the Hackett clone guitar work, I hear the band a little differently. what if Van Der Graaf Generator and Marillion got together with Hackett playing guitar? You'd have The Watch! Very good musicians, well produced and great music. Cant wait to get another one of their CDs.
