Mind blowing second album from this Italian symphonic rock band. The members of The Watch wear their hearts on their sleeves - make no bones about it. This is original compositions heavily influenced by Gabriel-era Genesis....but it's so well done that a band like this can shrug off any cries of copycat. They obviously know it and just simply go about their business. Vocalist/flautist Simone Rossetti has Gabriel's vocals nailed. The whole band is outstanding frankly - from Ettore Salati's Hackettesque leads to Sergio Taglioni's keyboards which replicate Tony Banks' setup and sounds precisely. Roberto Leoni and Marco Schembri lock in as a rhythm section making the Collins/Rutherford comparisons obvious. The music is strong on drama and emotions in a way that echoes The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. This is powerful symphonic prog of the highest order. If you were of a fan of their previous album "Ghost" or a Genesis or Marillion fan this one's a no-brainer. You gotta have this one.
I know what I like in my CD player....VACUUM!
