Waterclime is the new progressive rock side project from Vintersorg main man Andreas Hedlund. Working with Vintersorg guitarist Matthias Marklund and Black Bonzo's Magnus LIngren, Hedlund basically pays homage to prog bands of the 70s. The music, awash in Mellotron and organ, owes more than a little debt to Yes and Genesis as well as Opeth's more progressive works. His vocals remind at time of Ian Anderson. Given Mr. V's penchant for incorporating progressive elements into Vintersorg, a project of this type was inevitable. This one didn't hit me over the head right away but the more I hear it the deeper I'm falling into it.
