Waterloo - First Battle

SKU GUESS030CD
Originally reissued by Musea, this title has been out of print for some years. Long considered one of the top rarities from their native Belgium, Waterloo recorded this album in 1970. That was the "proto-prog" period in which bands were getting more adventurous with their arrangements but hadn't fully shed their psychedelic trappings. Waterloo is often compared to Jethro Tull only because their vocalist also played flute. Frankly what is far more interesting is the interplay between the organ and guitar with lots of soloing trading back and forth. The disc comes with detailed liner notes and lots of bonus tracks. Highly recommended if you like the early 70s sound.
