First album from Darryl Way's new band upon his departure from Curved Air. For Canis Lupis, Way put together a rather formidable band: John Etheridge on guitars, Dek Messecar on bass and vocals, and Ian Mosely on drums. Way handled violin and keyboards. Originally recorded for Deram back in 1973, the album was produced by King Crimson alumnus Ian McDonald. Although Way is front and center, he gives enormous room to Etheridge. Although no one would ever consider Wolf to be a top tier progressive rock band they did make 3 solid efforts that foreshadow the individual members work with Soft Machine, Caravan, and Gordon Giltrap. Comes with two bonus tracks and copious liner notes from Mark Powell.
