Wolverine - Communication Lost

Its been way too long since this great Swedish prog metal band released an album. Luckily its worth the wait. Communication Lost finds them in the good hands of producer Jacob Hansen. The band is heavier than still but also a bit more dynamic. Wolverine's music is all about emotion and atmosphere. I'm reminded of the great Pain Of Salvation albums like One Hour By The Concrete Lake and The Perfect Element. Vocalist Stefan Zell's vocals are sopping with angst - this is REAL! Lots of crunch through out, killer guitar solos offering release, and actually some beautiful, quiet sections filled with strings. This is a drop dropper - BUY OR DIE!!

I also have their 3 previous releases, and although I cant say this band is my favorite, I will say I enjoy everything they put out, including this one. It is a little more mellow, but after a few spins I actually am enjoying it more.

Ok, I have the 3 Priory release from Wolverines, This is a decent release.. The first 4 tracks Kick ass, after that, the next 5 or 6 tracks seem too mellow out for me... Ends up a little stronger,, But all in all, its not that bad ,IMO, Previous release semed a lot more aggresive... B.Ricci
