This was always a weird but charming album. Recorded on a low rent budget in 1977, Akasha made this one and done album. The album kicks off with a lengthy track loaded with 'tron. The rest of the album is full on prog rock with lots of wacked out twists and turns.

Lemures is the new studio album from Gianni Leoni's current version of the band (now a trio). Straight away this is not Ys. Also its not particularly commercial either. It does have the darkness of Ys but the music is synthesizer driven and perhaps a bit experimental in nature.

One of the better current RPI bands going are back after a six year absence. The origins of the band date back to 1974 but didn't release their first album until 1999. This has got "the sound" - Hammond organ is ever present and some beautiful guitar leads and violin through out.

A few years ago we were graced with a nice archival discovery courtesy of Esoteric Recordings. Black Widow Records has now come out with a vinyl edition. Fields was the post-Rare Bird trio consisting of keyboardist Graham Field, ex-King Crimson drummer Andy McCullough, and bassist Alan Barry.
