Now aligned with AFM Records, At Vance continue to crank out fantastic neo-classical albums. In fact within the genre I might even go so far as to say that they are next in line to the mighty Symphony X. Two reasons...guitarist Olaf Lenk and the incredible vocals of Oliver Hartmann.

Fifth album from this Savatage offshoot led by Zac Stevens. Nothing groundbreaking here - just solid melodic power metal with the occassional proggy touch. Recommended to fans of Savatage and Jon Oliva's Pain (who share some members of CIIC).

Another winner from this fine Savatage offshoot.

"As history has demonstrated, a female singer is a good way to change the landscape, or at least get more eyeballs pointed in the desired direction. And since there a few landscapes as dry as power metal, it manages to work for Polish-based power metallers Crystal Viper.

"Hard to believe it has been four years since the last Iron Savior record. In that time I almost thought we'd never hear anything from Piet and co again. Boy am I glad they're back, and with the Condition Red line-up to boot.

Fifth album from this (apparently) popular power metal band from Romania. The band is fronted by Ana Mladinovici, who has a very nice voice albeit with a slight accent. She doesn't have the range of Tarja - her voice is more along the lines of Sabine Edelsbacher of Edenbridge.

New lineup features ex-Riot vocalist Mike Dimeo as well as Rage drummer Mike Terrana. Surprisingly hook filled and melodic power metal. Not exactly my personal favorite style of metal but well executed. Recommended to the genre faithful.
Enhanced CD with one bonus video clip.

Seventh studio album from this German power metal band. Mob Rules are a first class outfit that pretty much stick to the melodic power metal formula but they add just enough progressive touces to keep a progmetal fan like myself interested.

"A swift visit to The Murder of My Sweet's website reveals that all of the band members all look about twelve years old which is really frightening and makes one wonder how young they were when they formed in Stockholm in 2006.
