"The Mid-Norwegian six-piece Adventure spent most of 2020 and early parts of 2021 writing and recording new material. Various lockdowns had its impact, making it hard for the band to work together.

"The second part of the duology on mass-murderess Belle Gunness is due. The follow-up to TALES OF BELLE, PART 1 – ACROSS THE OCEAN by the Mid-Norwegian six-piece band Adventure continues the unbelievable story of the poor Norwegian immigrant’s hunt for wealth.

"Here is a sloppily written review of a rather interesting and intriguing synth-driven record masterminded by the skilled musician known as Krizla (Tusmørke), and what we are dealing with here is essentially a collection of otherworldly and surreal-sounding tunes that will serve your current nee

"Alwanzatar is a one man (Krizla from Norwegian cult heroes Tusmørke) musical project creating extraterrestrial world music, with flute, incantations, synthesisers and electronics. Kosmisk skrekk is a gloomy sound track for space travel aboard grey, dusty interplanetary crafts.

Some changes are afoot with this excellent Norwegian prog band. The band has left Black Widow Records and moved over to Apollon Records, an upstart Norwegian label that seems to be signing prog rock bands right and left. Another change is the band is singing in Norwegian instead of English.

One of Norway's best musical secrets is Arabs In Aspic. Every new album is better than the previous. The band started out as more of a stoner rock band but the progressive elements kept on creeping into the mix. Hammond organ runs wild on this incendiary live album.

I can't say I'm familiar with Anders Buaas but Apollon has been on fire lately with their prog rock releases so what the hell let's give it a shot! What I'm hearing is music that is highly influenced by Mike Oldfield. Nice soulful guitar playing. Good stuff I say.

"TAROT - the latest album from Norway's Andres Buaas is a must for all fans of instrumental guitar-led music ? with a range of acoustic and electric guitar styles ranging from delicate, folk-influenced pieces all the way through to full- on electric guitar shredding ?

Latest from the Norwegian guitarist is a conceptual work consisting of two 20+ minute tracks. Everytime I hear something from Mr. Buaas I'm reminded of Mike Oldfield. Not overtly, as if he was copying his style, but more thematically.

Reissue of the 2017 release by this Norwegian multi-instrumentalist. Buaas strikes me as a bit of a modern day Mike Oldfield. He plays some wicked guitar but its laid down over some nice symphonic keyboards. Overall proggy and nice.

"Well, we didn’t have to wait long for more wonderful music to pour from the bountiful cup of Wobbler musical prolificacy. Most of the band has re-assembled for the side project Caligonaut.

Outstanding third album from this Brazilian prog trio. The band has very strong flavors of 70s Italian and English bands. I hear a particular affinity to ELP - lots of organ work at play. In essence this is keyboard dominated prog the way we like it.

Yet another side project from the amazing mind of White Willow's Jacob Holm-Lupo...

"Strongly influenced by '60s and '70s progressive rock but also newer bands from the '80s and '90s like Anekdoten, IQ, Marillion, Toto and Dream Theater, Fatal Fusion has a broad musical landscape.

"It feels as if the Norwegian band Hex A.D. have been on an upward trajectory since 2018 when they recorded their third album (and their first on the Fresh Tea label), Netherworld Triumphant.

As you all know Jacob Holm-Lupo is the mastermind behind White Willow. While he has other projects, this is his first solo album under his own name.

Third album from this Norwegian prog trio that frankly escaped my attention before. Its an all instrumental album with a dark retro feel. In tone I would compare them a bit to Agusa (but not in sound). If you like the Scandinavian sound this will knock you on your ass.

"A new group from Bergen, Norway, is emerging: KRYPTOGRAF is a mix of psychedelic music from the late 60's with a dose of space-rock and heavy metal. Here we have an album of about 38 and a half minutes of music that is as predictable as it is surprising!
