Their previous album, Unia, was pretty much reviled by this Finnish band's fanbase. They moved away from the Stratovarious style speed metal and went for something a bit slower and perhaps a touch more progressive.

For a spell we had a slew of female fronted gothic metal bands coming out of Poland. Artrosis, Delight, Moonlight seemed to crank out releases fast enough to make your head spin. Eventually these bands changed their style, adopting industrial, dance, electronica influences.

Been some time since I've caught up with Eddy Antonini's band. Fairytales is their 7th album and it still features Antonini's ornate keyboards and classical influences but it's blended in with traditional speed metal.

Second album from this German space rock band gets its first release on CD and given the deluxe treatment courtesy of Sireena Records. While it doesn't hit the heights of The World Will End On Friday its still quite a good album.

Newly remastered edition of the double live disc from Schulze's tour of Poland in 1983. This was in support of Audentity and features his collaborations with keyboardist Rainer Bloss. While I'm not a big fan of Audentity I found these live spaced out improvs to be much more satisfying.

Shooting star prog metal band from Hungary. Stonehenge mixes a traditional Dream Theater like keyboard oriented sound with some of the quirkiness of Pain Of Salvation. First class production filled with nice crunchy riffing, solid vocals, laser beam keys solos - these guys have got it all.
