Second album from this Norwegian band finds them climbing the ladder of melancholy prog bands. Short on complexity but long on atmosphere and melody, Airbag's new one packs an emotional wallop. The album has just enough spacey keyboards to draw comparisons to Pink Floyd and older Porcupine Tree. The album builds up to the 17 minute "Homesick I - III" which has enough references to Wish You Were Here that you'll be plowing through your Floyd collection afterwards. Lethal atmospheric prog that will annihilate the minds of any Anathema or Riverside fan. Highly recommended.
Product Review
Stronger instrumentation, less dreamy than the previous. Excellent stuff!

Ok, I loved the debut release from Airbag, And I think everyone was expecting this cd to out do thier first.... for me the 1st cd IMO is a little better for me..BUT the new release to me seems more Mature as a band... less mellow but high on the music aspect of the cd,, Its a great cd all in all And it shows that the Band can move in other directions ( I really dig the vocals from Airbag)worth the wait for me anyway... Actually 4.5 stars (where their debut was a solid 5) This is an excellent release & comes highly recommended . A definite grower and perhaps a more "mature" release, as most sophomore albums tend to be.
This album will be on my Top 10 of 2011 & belongs (as their 1st) in everyone's collection!
Excellent musicianship.
