L'uomo Delle Genti
"The man of the people (this is the title of the first work officially produced and distributed exclusively by the Ma.Ra.Cash Records label) tells, using the structure of the concept, the figure of the patron saint of the city of Bari (Bishop of Myra ) history, devotion and customs of the city that has its roots in the Italics Peucezi. The sounds immediately bring to mind the Made in Italy program (PFM school and Banco del Mutuo Soccorso) of the golden age. The clean, linear, deep and engaging singing accompanies melodies, overdubs, solos and sudden changes of tempos treated with maniacal attention. A unique and precious work (official release 3 July 2021) that brings to mind, at least in terms of content, the Italian songwriting of great masters such as De Andrè. The tracks, 6 in total, open with '1087', a real 'sound ride' among the sea waves (in search of the Saint's bones); This is followed by 'Folle Miraggio' (the return of the sailors to the city). Typical 70s melodies and sounds follow one another, telling us, through a completely unusual narration, even of the saint's miracles (as in 'My Daughters' and 'La Locanda Nella Notte'). The sequence of tracks 'La Nostra Festa' (listening to the scents can also be perceived) and 'U Sand Nèste', the only text sung in the local dialect, concluding band. A daring and happily successful job that of Hora Prima, a group consolidated in 2018 and, with good reason, with a noteworthy following of fans (follow them also on their Facebook page: horaprimaband). '... Here people walk the streets and pass the bread through many hands ...' (Our Story) The Hora Prima are: Francesco Bux (Drums and vocals), Gianluca De Bene (guitars and backing vocals), Domenico De Zio (Acoustic and electric Guitars), Roberto Gomes (keyboards and vocals), Valeria Tritto (Bass and backing vocals)." - Monica Margot, July 2021.
"Covid has not stopped, despite a complicated year, the art and music of Hora Prima: the progressive rock band from Bari has completed its research in the traditions and legends surrounding San Nicola, completing the concept album dedicated to the Patron of Bari.
'The man of the people' is a work presented on the day dedicated to the Saint of Myra created by the group composed of Francesco Bux (drums-voice), Gianluca De Bene (guitar), Domenico De Zio (guitar), Roberto Gomes (voice -keyboards), Valeria Tritto (bass). The lyrics are by Giovanni Boccuzzi: "After the first song entitled 'My daughters' - explains Domenico De Zio in BariToday - which premiered last year, we have completed the other pieces that make up the concept:' 1087 'and' Il folle miraggio 'recount the deeds of the sailors towards Myra to recover the remains of the saint ".
"Following - adds De Zio - there are passages dedicated to two representative miracles of the saint: in addition to the aforementioned 'My daughters', on the legend of the gifts to the three poor girls almost destined for the street and saved by the gifts given by the Saint, 'The inn in the night' which tells the story of the children brought back to life by St. Nicholas after being killed and cooked by the evil host ". The collection is completed by 'Our feast' and 'U Sant Nèste', two small journeys to 'breathe' the celebratory and popular event air during the Nicholas celebrations: a way also to remember what was not there in this cursed 2020, hoping to rediscover the folklore and warmth of the Patron as early as 2021. ......~"
